While updating or reinstalling the Wallet it may happen that the syncing process is stuck at a certain blockheight, or the Wallet is not progressing at all. There are two known solutions for this behavior.

Note

For safety, please make Make sure to backup your Wallet!

Option 1: In the Wallet UI: Go to File > Backup Wallet and store the file named as: wallet.dat in a secured location

Option 2: Manually copy the wallet.dat file:

  • Windows: %appdata%/rpicoin/wallet.dat

  • Linux: ~/.rpicoin/wallet.dat

  • Raspberry Pi: ~/.rpicoin/wallet.dat

  • OSX: Macintosh HD/Users/YourUserName/Library/Application Support/Rpicoin/wallet.dat

Try a Wallet -resync using the building repair tools:

  • In the Wallet go to “Tools” → “Wallet Repair”

  • Select “Delete local Blockchain Folders”

This process will delete any non-crucial files and folders to be able to restore/resync re-sync once more from scratch.

If for some reason you still encounter issues of any form when synchronizing your Wallet. Then please follow these steps below:

  • Close the Wallet

  • Open the %appdata%/rpicoin folder (linux: ~/.rpicoin/ )

  • Delete all the files as shown in the screenshot

  • Start the Wallet and let is fully sync
